If things in the LCD TV (combined with PC Monitor) market have improved then that's great! & (so long as DaveC makes sure to check the actual Resolution of any LCD TV Monitor he is thinking of getting, to make sure that it *isn't* only VGA or XGA), then they should be OK. I would like to get an lcd tv that I can hook up to the computer so I have the best of both worlds. Anything in the 20"-32" range is fine. Any thoughts on which one to buy? I'm not too worried about manufacturer but the vizio's seem to be ok units?? Anyone that has a pleasant experience please advise. thanks.

We currently use a 32" 1366x768 LCD TV as a wall mounted monitor at work and its not bad - if you're a couple of metres away - so I suspect a 1080 would be even better. The HD LCD TVs (at native resolution) are far better than the old low res flickery SD CRT TVs at displaying computer outputs.

I was considering a monitor for my C64. What is the general opinion on the 1084S? A few quick searches seem to show it as a reasonable item. Is it possible / worthwhile connecting a modern LCD monitor to a C64? Thank you. For the 64 you can connect an LCD TV/Monitor but an LCD VGA only monitor may pose a problem.
